Playful Poetry workshop with Vanessa Kisuule

Through a mix of playful writing and performance exercises, this poetry workshop will get you thinking about how our homes are affected by climate change and tap into your sense of place and the sea. We will consider our unique relationship to landscape, unpacking the hopes and fears that we hold for the future. This workshop will be relaxed and informal and no writing experience is necessary, just openness and enthusiasm.

This workshop is aimed at adults. Local schools will also be taking part in workshops with Vanessa, all of which will connect to inspire a live performance of dance and poetry in Lyme Regis on September 10/11th with Landance. In the video, Vanessa reads a poem created in the 2020 workshops which formed part of this project.
